Heiton Holdings plc opened its 10th Atlantic Homecare outlet in Ireland last week.

The 48,000ft² outlet in Liffey Valley was the third to open in seven months. It was preceded by a 39,000ft² store in Newbridge and a 31,000ft² store in Mullingar.

Atlantic Homecare also has a virtual store accessible through Buy4Now which opened in December.

Managing director Pat McGuane said that as a sister company of Heiton Holdings and the Panel Centre, Atlantic Homecare did not need to get involved in the heavy end of timber. ‘We will concentrate on the lighter side such as decorative mouldings, shelving and basic Contiboard,’ he said.

Timber and wood products account for 8-10% of those stocked in Atlantic Homecare stores.
