The Hadleigh Timber Group Ben has appointed former Travis Perkins director Ben Todd as managing director.
The move, the Group says, brings extensive leadership, financial and industry experience to the business, with Mr Todd previously working across finance, distribution and the building materials sectors.
The move follows the departure of former Hadleigh CEO Chris Rudd.
An ACA Chartered Accountant, Mr Todd began his career with KPMG and EY before moving into senior finance roles at Boots. He subsequently spent 11 years within the Travis Perkins Group, holding a number of senior positions across the business.
During his time at Travis Perkins, he served as Finance Director for Keyline, BSS Industrial and Travis Perkins General Merchant, before progressing to become Managing Director of Travis Perkins Managed Services.
“Ben’s extensive experience within the building merchant and distribution sectors gives him a strong understanding of Hadleigh Timber Group’s customers, markets and overall offering,” said Group chairman Martyn Meade.
“His combination of commercial, financial and operational expertise will be invaluable as the Group continues to develop and grow. The appointment represents an important step in the continued development of the Group and strengthens the senior leadership team as Hadleigh Timber Group looks towards its next phase of growth.”
“Hadleigh has built something genuinely strong over many years — deep local relationships and real expertise across Panelco, Meyer and Timbmet, now backed by real scale,” said Mr Todd.
“That’s a rare combination, and I’m looking forward to working with the teams across the Group to build on it.”
