Visitors to the Stefani factory during SCM Group’s Technology Days saw 16 fully operating solutions covering every type of edgebanding job, with a focus on improved flexibility, automation and cost reduction.
Centre stage went to the Stefani Solution HD B – an electronic single-sided edgebander which can attach melamine-coated edges, or edges in ABS, PVC, pre-cut veneer and wood strips, as well as poly methyl methacrylate (transparent thermoplastic) with feed speeds of up to 30m/per min.
Laser edgebanding for larger volumes was demonstrated by the two-sided Stefani Evolution SBB laserline, which can edgeband around 5,000 panels per shift.
