The NMBS Exhibition returned to the Coventry Building Society Arena on April 15-16, bringing together merchants and suppliers with a focus on networking, commercial opportunities, and sharing industry knowledge.
This year’s event welcomed a record 301 exhibitors, the highest number in NMBS Exhibition history, alongside 1,230 visitors from 649 member companies.
Timber suppliers exhibiting included BSW Timber, SR Timber, Metsa Wood, James E Smith, Södra Wood, Richard Burbidge, Cheshire Mouldings, plus many more.
NMBS said the strong turnout reflected the continued importance that the merchanting industry places on face-to-face meetings.
“Events like the NMBS Exhibition are critical to sharing new product innovations, securing competitive deals and strengthening existing relationships,” it said.
Kevin Williams, chief executive officer of NMBS, said the event continued to demonstrate the strength, resilience, and relationships that make up the merchant sector.
“What’s encouraging is the level of engagement across the exhibition floor,” he said. “This willingness to build meaningful relationships is what will continue to drive the sector forward.”
Exhibiting at the NMBS Exhibition for the first time was James E Smith (Northern) Ltd.
“The event has allowed us to connect with a range of credible businesses and secure some excellent new enquiries that we are eager to follow up on,” said Paul Pennick, managing director of James E Smith (Northern) Ltd.
The first day of the exhibition concluded with the NMBS Gala Dinner, providing an opportunity for attendees to connect in a more informal setting.
