Held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, the day saw figureheads from the industry extolling the benefits of e-trading, along with suppliers of electronic trading systems offering advice and set-up guidance.
“It is clear thar increasing numbers of our members are keen to switch to e-trading but fear the potential cost and upheaval to their business,” said Chris Pateman, BMF managing director.
“This was a great way to highlight the benefits and explain how easy it is to accomplish.”
BMF also launched two new services at the April 25 show, including an e-trading guide and the Product Data Synchronisation system, designed to help e-traders streamline their electronic data.
Around 150 members of the BMF attended the event, with many, including Rawle Gammon & Baker Holdings Ltd operations director Mark Gosney, claiming that the day was a success and that it would ensure “we don’t get left behind”.
