According to the ITTO’s latest Tropical Timber Market Report, the volume this year was 101,335m3 compared with 110,670m3 last year. The value fell by 2.4%.
The main markets by value were France (14%), US (13%), China (12%), Netherlands (10%) and India (9.5%).
The state of Pará accounted for 40.6% of tropical sawnwood exports.
