AHEC described Budapest in Hungary as an exciting cultural centre providing easy access for European timber importers to attend.

The convention’s theme will again centre on the environmental credentials of US hardwoods and how marketing and promotion opportunities can help strengthen the trade of US hardwoods in Europe.

“We wanted to keep the convention focused on new business potential as we believe that despite the current tough trading conditions, the long-term prospects could see significant growth for US hardwoods in both existing and emerging European markets,” said David Venables, AHEC director.

The convention will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel on the banks of the Danube.
