Denholme and Bradford-based CR Taylor Timber Ltd has achieved double chain of custody status after gaining both Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) accreditation through BM TRADA.

“We have always been wholly committed to the environment and protecting the habitat that provides the source of our business, but FSC and PEFC are proof that all the timber we supply is more than replaced,” said managing director Russell Tallant.

Family-owned CR Taylor supplies local and national housebuilders with timber and engineered wood products and recently opened a roof truss manufacturing facility.

“Our timber now ticks all of the environmental boxes and despite a market downturn in housebuilding, we are still seeing buoyant demand for our products that represent the most sustainable way forward for construction,” said Mr Tallant.
