Turnover at the Denmark-based company fell to DKr1.29bn from DKr1.39bn a year ago.

DLH reported 26% growth in overseas markets, whereas European markets continued their decline with a 16% drop.

The Nordic region remains DLH largest market, accounting for 34% of sales, followed by global sales and then western Europe.

Sheet materials was the biggest product area, accounting for 33% of sales, followed by sawn timber at 23%.

In the Nordic area sheet materials made up 76% of business, while decking was the best-selling product in western Europe at 42%, followed by sawn timber (34%).

DLH is prediciting a pre-tax profit margin of around 0% for the full year.
