Donaldson Timber Systems has partnered with HebHomes to supply timber-frame structures for the architect-designed homes it delivers across the UK, Ireland and overseas.

Donaldson Timber Systems is supplying its closed panel Sigma II technology, featuring insulated roof cassettes. The system achieves U-values of 0.15 W/m2K as standard.

Donaldson Timber Systems and the HebHouse team have worked closely to refine and develop construction details tailored to the needs of HebHome customers.

For projects in remote or technically challenging locations, the collaboration has improved buildability and simplified logistics while preserving the original design intent.

The Sigma II manufacturing process reduces on-site construction time while improving programme certainty and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery for HebHomes.

Donaldson Timber Systems said its panel system integrates with HebHomes’ designs, which are known for a clean, contemporary appearance, while maintaining performance standards.

Five HebHomes projects have already been completed using this approach, across locations including Northern England, Scarfskerry, Oban, Westhill and Glenelg. Further developments are planned for later this year.

Donaldson Timber Systems key accounts (North) head Gary Shaw said: “This is an exciting partnership for Donaldson Timber Systems in a completely new market for us. HebHomes is a fantastic business, offering a high-end, energy-efficient product that we’re proud to put our name to.”

Donaldson Timber Systems operates from several manufacturing and technical centres in the UK and has been involved in offsite timber frame construction for more than 50 years.
