Sue Osborne, the widow of Clarks Wood managing director Geoff Osborne who died in April, would like to thank everyone who made a donation to Cambodian orphanages which the couple had been involved in for several years.

“People were very generous and the orphans have benefited greatly from their kindness,” said Mrs Osborne.

The money was used to buy a tuk tuk and it is shared by five orphanages, which are already enjoying the benefits. Having no transport meant they had difficulty accessing services but the tuk tuk has enabled the older children to attend school for the first time.

“The orphanages are going to have its use on a rota basis to bring in volunteers to teach, check the children’s health, take children to the hospital and go to market, ” said Mrs Osborne.
