Engineered windows and doors from have enabled Duralife Windows Ltd to install a garden room at a 99-year-old cottage situated in a conservation area.

Duralife, a Registered Installer, fitted French doors and flush casement windows as part of a garden room at Bickwell cottage in Sidmouth, Devon.

Meeting conservation area demands can be difficult according to Duralife, but’s products enabled the four-month build to suit the requirements of local planners.

“’s flush casement windows and French doors in a white finish together with astragal bars give a really traditional finish,” said Duralife director Lance Wilkins.

“Complying with conservation area regulations isn’t easy but’s products and services helped us to meet all requirements.”

Mr Wilkins added’s products were proving popular with homeowners looking to “increase the value of their property while maintaining its character”.
