Forest Enterprise‘s coniferous standing sales prices were 28.6% lower in real terms (1996 prices) in the year to September 2002, compared with the previous year.
This is a reversal on the previous 12 months when prices were 0.3% higher in real terms, according to the Coniferous Standing Sales Price Index for Great Britain.
The average price per m3 overbark standing was £6.38 in nominal terms (£5.48 in 1996 prices) in the year to September.
