RusForest has forest management and chain of custody certificates for three harvesting areas of 2.6 million ha and chain of custody certificates for three sawmills and its exporting business.
A spokesperson said: “FSC certification of our timber leasing, harvesting and sawmilling operations is a key step toward increasing prices for sawnwood products.
It will also allow us to expand our sales channels and reach higher value markets like Europe and Japan.”
