Celebrated architect Frank Gehry has chosen timber as the main structure for this summer’s Serpentine Gallery Pavilion.

Designs just released by the Serpentine Gallery show a collection of large timber planks and multiple glass planes that “soar and swoop” at different angles to create a multi-dimensional space.

“The Pavilion is designed as a wooden timber structure that acts as an urban street running from the park to the existing Gallery,” said Mr Gehry.

The Pavilion will be his first built structure in England.
