The Gardai and the Health & Safety Authority are investigating the death of the long-serving employee, from the locality, who was pronounced dead at the site.
“I can confirm that an incident has taken place yesterday which has tragically resulted in the death of an employee,” said GP Wood managing director Niall Grainger.
“Investigations are taking place and therefore it is not appropriate for me to comment further at present, except to say our thoughts are very much with our late colleague’s family, friends and work mates.”
