America’s Harvard University has agreed to purchase the 169,000ha forestry estate and some assets of the failed Central North Island Forest Partnership in New Zealand.
GMO Renewable Resources signed an agreement, rumoured to be worth up to NZ$650m, with partnership receivers Ferrier Hodgson.
GMO was representing Harvard Management Company, which manages the university’s financial assets.
