Australia-based Hyne Timber has introduced a laminated veneer lumber (LVL) product made from plantation softwood timber.
The product, which is being produced to Australian standards, is available in thicknesses of 45mm and 63mm with depths from 95-360mm.
It is aimed at use in floor joists, floor bearers, lintels, veranda beams and structural roof members.
Hyne also produces I-beams, glulam and softwood lumber.
The group’s Tuan and Tumbarumba framing timber operations have a total pine sawlog capacity of 1.6 million m³ annually.
