After two years of investment of time and money, Bradford-based Hanson & Beards can offer fully certified door assemblies and is qualified to install and certify doorsets.

The company has worked in conjunction with the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) and a UKAS laboratory to enable it to supply both standard and bespoke sizes of fire doors, containing glazed apertures, which are covered by the BWF-CERTIFIRE Fire Door and Doorset Scheme.

Hanson & Beards managing director Peter Hanson said: “We have a reputation for producing odd-sized fire doors where required, as well as supplying standard sizes. We can also offer frames, hardware and the intumescent stripping for half hour and one hour fire installations.”

The company has worked with the BWF to attain ISO 9000 accreditation, adding the FIRAS scheme to its BWF-CERTFIRE scheme membership, and it now has two inspectors qualified to check installations.
