The keynote speaker at the International Wood Products Association (IWPA) convention will be Michael Chenard, director of environmental affairs at the Lowe’s Companies.
His address – Responsible Wood Procurement – will focus on the company’s procurement policy and “stress legality as a minimum requirement but also address certification”.
IWPA executive vice-president Brent J McClendon said he hoped the presentation would help members, importers, manufacturers, distributors and producers gain a better understanding of the potential impact such policies may have on their businesses.
