The company’s range of timber windows have long been accredited to the British Woodworking Federation‘s Timber Window Accreditation scheme, but product manager Tony Bell has said that being able to display the BSI Kitemark “clearly demonstrates the quality and high performance of our products”.

“With the current resurgence in the popularity of timber windows, achieving this standard could not have come at a better time,” said Mr Bell.

“[We] see it as vital in showing specifiers and homeowners that timber windows can achieve the highest standards.”

In order to achieve the BSI Kitemark, Jeld-Wen‘s timber window range had to undergo independent assessments that checked the sourcing and manufacture of the wood, the glazing and finishes applied and the resiliance of the products to extreme weathering.
