Olympics minister Tessa Jowell has promised to look into the timber procurement policies operated by the Olympic Development Authority and the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG).

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport confirmed to TTJ that Ms Jowell was taking up concerns expressed by members of the Wood for Gold campaign during a meeting with her on January 13.

Industry representatives claimed that LOCOG was placing too much emphasis on the FSC certification scheme.
