Junckers UK managing director John Woolmer has strongly denied rumours that Junckers Ltd is in receivership or insolvent.
A letter has been sent to all the Essex-based company’s customers explaining that the rumours have probably come from “exaggerated reports in the Danish press and from its competitors”.
He added: “The truth of the matter is that negotiations between F Junckers Industrier A/S and one of its smaller financial backers has resulted in stalemate.”
Mr Woolmer said that on November 12 the Junckers Group was granted a “suspension of payments” order, the purpose of which is to investigate future capital restructuring of the group.
He went on: “For the foreseeaable future Junckers Ltd will continue to supply and service its customers normally. We anticipate the situation will be resolved satisfactorily very soon.”
