Some timber traders in Lagos have disassociated themselves from legal action started by the Timber Traders Association (TTA) against the Ondo state government.

The legal case was initiated in response to the state’s forestry tariff increase and the setting up of a task force to implement the Forestry Law.

A section of the TTA, calling itself the Progressive Timber Dealers Association, has called for a withdrawal of the litigation and a return to dialogue.
