A lack of secondhand forest machines in Sweden has forced the Elmia Loggers Meet – the used machinery and equipment market – to change both its date and venue.
Due to take place in Sweden on May 21-22, the event will now take place alongside the KWF fair in Germany on June 16-19.
Project manager Per Jonsson explained: “The second-hand machines are the whole basis of the Elmia Loggers Meet. Over the past few months, visitor interest in the event has grown at the same rate as the supply of Swedish machines has shrunk.”
The machines have primarily been sold to Russia and the Baltic states, with some ending up in Spain and Portugal.
