The 143rd branch of MKM Building Supplies officially opened in Luton on Monday (March 30).

The new branch will create 18 new jobs for local people and brings MKM’s independent, customer-first approach to one of the busiest merchanting areas in the region. A large warehouse space means timber and key materials will be stored under cover, keeping products dry and ready to use on site.

Dan Mansfield, branch development director at MKM Building Supplies, said the new branch reflects the company’s focus on local knowledge, experienced teams and straightforward service.

“Luton has a really strong trade community and a huge amount of building activity, so it’s a brilliant place for a new MKM branch,” he said.

“The team we’ve brought together know the town well and have worked in and around the area for many years. That local experience is important because it helps us shape the branch around what customers need.”

Products from a range of leading timber suppliers will be stocked at the branch.
