Ohio-based ITL is one of the largest global suppliers of North American hardwood, selling over 200 million board feet of hardwood lumber annually.
It has approximately 400 employees and owns two integrated sawmills, four concentration yards and one dedicated service center with operations in Ohio, West Virginia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Northwest Hardwoods has about 1,600 employees and manufactures and sells 15 species of hardwood lumber. Its operations include a network of 15 primary sawmills, five concentration yards, one remanufacturing plant and regional warehouse locations.
NWH is headquartered in Washington State and also has operations in Canada, China, and Japan. NWH said the benefits of acquiring ITL included the latter’s attractive worldwide customer base, respected brand name and highly automated mills. ITL will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of NWH.
