Exponents of offsite construction technology and other modern methods of construction (MMC) will be exhibiting at BRE on June 6-9 next year.

OFFSITE2005, which will incorporate interactive demonstrations and displays from around the world, aims to show how MMC can deliver quality homes and buildings that are creatively designed, energy efficient, sustainable and cost-effective.

Daily seminars will cover how MMC contributes to sustainable communities; achieves accelerated delivery through partnering; understands the technical issues relating to MMC; develops the modern workforce; offers global opportunities and applications; builds regulations, certification and quality assurance.

The first event – OFFSITE03 held in May 2003 – attracted more than 50 companies in the offsite construction sector and was attended by more than 3,000 visitors including deputy prime minister John Prescott.
