Engineered timber specialist Palgrave Brown (UK) Ltd has designed bespoke roof trusses for a development of unusual 15th and 16th century period style houses in West Sussex.

The company supplied trusses, MDF mouldings, window cills and I-beams for the four properties built by O’Brien Homes in Angmering. Sister company Allan Brothers provided glazed timber windows for the project.

Lee Smithers, Palgrave Brown sales manager for the southern region, said: “Bespoke roof trusses had to be designed as the roof lines were not straight forward. One house featured a turret and each property had low level ceiling to floor finishes.”

The company supplied special window cills because the flint and stone construction method created extra wide walls.
