Pfleiderer wins German Sustainability Award
31 October 2023Pfleiderer has won the German Sustainability Award (DNP) 2024 in the Basic Materials/Wood Processing category.
The achievement is the latest in a year full of awards for the company's ESG activities (ESG: English for Environmental, Social and Governance).
Among other things, the wood-based materials manufacturer was awarded the Gold Medal by EcoVadis during the year and, according to the rating agency Morningstar/Sustainalytics, is the second-placed company in the building materials industry category and is in the top 2 percent of 15,000 of all companies rated globally.
“Sustainability has always been more than just lip service at Pfleiderer,” said Dr Frank Herrmann, CEO of the Pfleiderer Group.
“In recent years, we have not only given the term more and more life within the company, but we have also firmly linked it to our strategy as an attitude. This is now paying off more and more - for our customers, our company and of course the environment.”
The 140-member expert Awards jury chose Pfleiderer in the final of three companies. The award ceremony will take place on November 23, 2023 as part of a prominent event in Düsseldorf.
