RIdgeons Group Ltd has announced plans to make up to 95 redundancies across its operations.

RIdgeons, which trades from 21 branches in the east of England, said 95 job losses was a “worst case scenario”, and that the final number would depend on the outcome of consultation. The spread of affected employees will also depend on the consultation.

“We’re looking for voluntary redundancies before seeing if any further is action is needed to make compulsory redundancies,” said group managing director Angela Rushforth.

“We’ve looked to reduce the impact on customers and customer-facing staff, and no branches or parts of the business will be lost.”

No redundancies will be enforced before the end of January, Ms Rushforth said, with the consultation due to carry on beyond the legally required 30-day period.
