SCA Timber Supply at Stoke-on-Trent has won the contract to provide timber product supply chain management to Homebase stores nationwide.
Managing director of SCA Timber Supply Andrew Garner, said: “Our average high 90% order strike rate is appreciated by the fast-moving buying community in the DIY sector.
“We must be highly responsive to individual stores’ requirements and pro-active in our marketing to effectively interface with this sector. Our experience with other clients in addition to our range of FSC-certified products will help us to achieve swift integration with Homebase operations.”
SCA Timber Supply already provides break-bulk and picking services and bulk supply of timber products to other DIY and builders’ merchants groups in the UK while its Swedish parent company, SCA Timber AB services the neeeds of Home Depot in the US.
