Timber engineer Scotts of Thrapston of Northamptonshire used ‘room in the roof’ trussed rafters to make the most of available space in a combination roof of handmade clay peg tiles and local thatch.

The company, which is a member of the Trussed Rafter Association, used its computerised manufacturing processes to supply the complete roof structure, including a line of eyebrow windows and exposed rafter ends in the garage.
