Summit Timber Group was established through the combination of Hull-based Hawthorn Timber and St Helens-based Cheshire Mouldings.
Hawthorn Timber supplies machined and treated softwood, panel products and cladding solutions to customers across Ireland and the UK.
Cheshire Mouldings manufactures and distributes mouldings, panelling, stairparts, decking and joinery timbers to the retail and merchant sectors.
According to the company, its strategy combines organic investment in production capacity, processes and product lines with selective acquisitions to broaden its product offering and capabilities.
Summit Timber Group said its trading businesses continue to operate under their original brands with a focus on product quality and customer service.
In July 2025, Staircraft, a manufacturer of staircases and floor kits, began working with Summit Timber Group to assess opportunities for business growth.
