Swedish Wood is the latest sponsor of the TTJ Awards 2026, as this year’s event celebrating achievement in the UK & Ireland timber products industries gets closer to lift-off on September 18.
Swedish Wood is a group specifically tasked with broadening the market for wood and increasing the value of wood products. It is backed by the Swedish sawmill industry, including manufacturers of glulam, CLT and wooden packaging, and suppliers to Swedish and European builders’ merchants and wholesalers.
It is sponsoring the Environmental Achievement Award – a judged category which recognises and promotes the industry’s ever-improving environmental performance.
“Swedish Wood is very happy to have been given the opportunity to sponsor TTJ’s Environmental Achievement Award in this, its 30th year,” said Stephen King, Swedish Wood UK project manager.
“We recognise and support many UK based timber projects each year. We also seek to reinforce the close connection between the UK and Sweden’s wood industries and the TTJ Awards offer a further opportunity to do so.”
“Sweden is the largest overseas supplier of softwood products to the UK market and has been an important sawn timber producer in Europe for many decades,” commented TTJ editor Stephen Powney.
“Having this important and historic trade connection reflected in the TTJ Awards 2026 is a great addition for our 30thanniversary awards in central London. With timber trade levels being subdued in 2026, the importance of industry unity, networking, encouragement and celebrating achievements is an even higher priority than normal.”
The TTJ Awards, established 30 years ago, sees suppliers of wood products compete for awards based on voting, ratings and feedback from timber buyers (including builders, merchants, specifiers, jobbing tradesmen, and wood product manufacturers).
Judging panels also judge separate judged entries categories covering a wide breath of topics, including the TTJ Innovation Award and Career Development categories.
This year’s lunchtime event takes place at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square on September 18 (https://awards-ttj.ttjonline.com).
A few TTJ Awards sponsorships are still available for this year’s event.
