TDUK to hold UK Timber Design Conference in London

2 April 2024

Timber Development UK is organising a new conference – the UK Timber Design Conference - focused on a low carbon transformation of the built environment using timber.

Taking place on June 26, the conference at Hamilton House will bring together disruptors and market leaders to discuss how we can create systemic change, usher in a net zero future, and break down the barriers to timber in construction.

Over 200 delegates from right across the timber supply chain – including leading developers, local authorities, insurers, engineers, architects, contractors and more – are expected to attend.

The event is supported by Swedish Wood and Built by Nature.

Speakers already announced include the teams behind the incoming Phoenix in Lewes, set to be the UK’s largest timber development, Goldsmith Street, the Stirling Prize winning council led development in Norwich, and the pioneering Black & White building in London.

“What we need to see now is a transformation which means these world-leading developments and buildings are the norm – not the exception,” said TDUK chief executive David Hopkins.

“This conference will bring together agents of change who can accelerate this transformation.”
