Hertfordshire-based Tibbett & Britten Group has extended its home improvements logistics operations into France and the Benelux countries for the first time after having secured a long term contract from French DIY retailer, Castorama.
The contract has been awarded in two parts. The first covers the operation of a 20,000m2 distribution centre at Arles which will handle the storage, picking and despatch of garden furniture to some 145 Castorama stores in France and Benelux.
The second covers the operation of Castorama’s new 36,000m2 distribution centre near Arles which provides store replenishment services for items such as fencing panels and construction materials.
