A complex series of raised timber decking routes spanning 140m2 have been created for the Mirage Project, a public art installation developed by the Kielder Partnership and Japanese sculptor Kisa Kawakami.
BSW Timber provided its Timeless Timber decking, joists and posts for the project, and each section was hand-crafted. The routes have been designed to work with the natural pattern of the trees along the forest floor.
“Getting involved with the Kielder Partnership provides us with an exciting and innovative opportunity to showcase our Timeless Timber decking range,” said Bryan Crennell, marketing manager for BSW Timber. “We are working together with all our partners – including the Forestry Commission, one of our biggest suppliers – to leave a lasting legacy for the people of Kielder and its visitors for years to come.”
Mr Crennell said the project will give BSW Timber the opportunity to prove its 20 year guarantee for its Timeless Timber boards.
