At the open house event TTF president Neil Donaldson said the relocation to the more compact and cost-effective Store Street premises took the organisation into a new era.

“It represents a step change, and will help The Federation team expand the work they do – it’s a springboard for our future as an industry,” said Mr Donaldson.

He added that the opening of the new office came at a positive time for the TTF overall.

“We have a new business plan in place, we’ve now managed to achieve a financial surplus for the last two years and this year have signed up 15 new members,” he said.

He added that he was continuing his efforts to achieve greater collaboration between the TTF and other related-sector industry associations, with a summit meeting scheduled with eight other organisations next week.

TTF chief executive John White added that the office in the Building Centre, which provides an information resource for professional specifiers, housebuilders, home improvers and students, put the Federation “right at the metaphoric heart one of our principal market sector – the construction industry”.
