The 2022 TTJ Awards will take place at The InterContinental Park Lane, London on September 30.

This year’s lunchtime annual timber industry awards event in the heart of London will be the 26th TTJ Awards and will be another opportunity for the sawmilling, importing, manufacturing, distribution, merchanting and structural timber/joinery industries to come together to celebrate their achievements and enjoy a day socialising and networking in the nation’s capital.

The InterContinental, in the heart of London’s Mayfair, is situated next to Hyde Park and Green Park and the Wellington Memorial. It has been used for functions such as the Wimbledon Champions Ball and in 2018 it hosted the TTJ Awards.

“We’re delighted to secure the InterContinental for the 2022 TTJ Awards,” said Stephen Powney, TTJ group editor.

“It’s a fantastic five-star hotel in Mayfair which has hosted some fabulous events in the past and we are pleased to be returning there for the timber industry’s own awards celebration this year.”

The hotel sits on one of London’s most prestigious corners between Mayfair and Knightsbridge. It is situated on the site of 145 Piccadilly, the Queen's former childhood residence.

Entries for the judged awards and the online voting process for the voted categories will be opening in April.

Last year’s successful 25th anniversary saw sports presenter Jason Mohammed entertaining about 250 guests in a memorable first major UK timber event since the start of the pandemic, with Arnold Laver being crowned TTJ Timber Trader of the Year.

An announcement on the event host and guest speaker, as well as further details will be made shortly.
