Viking Window AS has joined the Wood Window Alliance (WWA) as it looks to enhance its credibility in the UK market.

Estonia-based Viking will now be able to carry the WWA’s heart and tree branding, as well as take advantage of its campaigning and promotion work.

Its windows required independent accreditation; warranties for durability, paint life, ironmongery and insulated glass units; proof of manufacture from sustainable sources; and approval to relevant standards to gain WWA membership.

“The UK is a very important market to us and joining the WWA is a logical step in establishing Viking’s credibility because it demonstrates our organisation’s commitment to producing high quality, sustainable wood windows,” said export manager Tanel Kookmaa.

“The campaign is gaining some real momentum and will drive business to its members through strong, distinctive marketing as well as actively representing them in the forum where policy and standards are determined,” added WWA campaign chairman Nick Quinn.
