Solid wood machining specialist Weinig said it sold 67 machines and systems – almost a doubling of sales from two years ago.
Weinig said its show appearance alongside sister company Holz-Her was like a "magnet" for a "remarkable international audience". Visitors from 44 countries were registered on the Weinig stand.
"Customers’ increased willingness to invest can be seen again," it said.
Homag, the world’s largest woodworking machinery manufacturer, said orders received had exceeded all its expectations.
"The aisles were buzzing with punters and the air was filled with an unmistakable hum of business being done," Homag said.
The company reported a 10% growth on new orders compared to two years ago and recorded visitors from 46 countries.
Holz-Handwerk recorded a visitor attendance of 108,000 – 10% up on the 2012 event.
