The deadline for entries to the Wood Awards 2008 has been extended to May 28.

The competition, which celebrates use of timber in architecture and furniture, is made up of five categories – commercial and public access, private, structural, conservation/restoration and furniture.

The Gold Award is awarded to the best winner from the architectural-based categories, while special awards will recognise small projects, innvoation, best use of British timber, best use of wood panels and off-site manufactured project.

Suppliers, architects and manufacturers can enter projects.
