Hardwood and laminate floors will again have a strong presence at the National Floor Show.
Organiser CMP says the wooden flooring element of the September 2-4 show, traditionally a bastion of the carpet industry, will again account for about 20% of exhibits. Last year the event saw a 10% rise in wood and laminates.
But the carpet industry has also retained its strength and stainless steel flooring will feature for the first time.
Montague L Meyer Ltd is among UK companies exhibiting and plans to show the Vito parquet range and an extensive selection from laminate flooring manufacturer Kaindl.
New exhibitor Oostro Wood will show its 18cm-wide engineered wood flooring in 14 different finishes, while Protak will display Italian manufacturer Bruno’s exotic hardwood flooring from Cameroon, Gabon and the Ivory Coast, plus European hardwood products from France. Amorium (Benelux) is another first time exhibitor.
Bamboo is expected to be popular once again, with Barefoot Bamboo Ltd showing its new HDF bauled product.
Event director Kate Chambers said the show was an important place for networking, as well as a market place. It is held at Harrogate International Centre and is aimed at retailers, buyers, contractors, distributors, specifiers and architects.
