World of Wood 2008 will focus on the key issues surrounding compliance with green initiatives and new regulations.
The 52nd International Wood Products Association (IWPA) annual convention will feature speakers from across the North American market discussing topics such as customs rules for plywood and flooring.
“We’re pleased to announce that leading US manufacturers and distributors from a cross section of US product segments will address current business conditions, projections for 2008 and what ‘going green’ means to their businesses,” said Brent McClendon, executive vice president of IWPA.
“Businesses also need to make sure we’re complying with all the new rules and regulations that are developed every year,” added IWPA president Stuart Clarke.
“I’m very pleased that this programme includes the latest information on the new formaldehyde requirements that California has adopted and US Customs’ classification initiatives on flooring and plywood.”
More than 300 delegates from 20 countries are expected to attend World of Wood at the Loews Royal Pacific in Orlando, Florida on March 5-7.
