The WTO panel report, expected to be made public in the next few weeks, apparently agrees that American duties are a justified response to Canadian lumber imports.
Canada says the report is based on how duties are calculated by US officials.
The country believes last year’s decision by a North American Free Trade Agreement panel, which ruled in favour of Canada, was the ultimate decision in the dispute. The US has so far refused to accept the panel’s findings.
