Caerphilly chooses Sikkens

Caerphilly County Borough Council has specified Sikkens Cetol Novatech and Cetol Novatop for use on external timber at Aeron Court, part of the council's social housing stock.

The work formed part of the council's five-yearly maintenance programme, which involves strict environmental criteria.

Normally two coats of Cetol Novatech are applied on new or bare timber, with one maintenance coat of Cetol Novatop applied every four to five years. The high solids resin system was developed with the objective of reducing VOC emissions, while giving greater absorption into the timber surface.,
