Combilift provides the answer

I-S Manufacturing has bought a 4-way forklift for its new Coventry site to handle large loads of OSB used in its structural insulated panels (SIPs).

The eight-tonne Comblilift truck is used to offload, transport and store loads that arrive from Germany in 6m lengths and widths of 2.7m, which were difficult to manoeuvre into the building and stack on the high racking.

“We knew we needed something way beyond a mainstream forklift,” said managing director Andrew Orriss. “The Combilift is an impressive piece of kit. It is versatile and dependable and crucially it has solved our OSB manoeuvrability problem.”

The company supplies bespoke SIPs for sustainable buildings across the UK and can produce up to 1,000 houses a year at its new site.
