Combilift wins innovation award

26 February 2009

Irish four-way forklift manufacturer Combilift has lifted yet another trophy, winning the UK Fork Lift Truck Association’s (FLTA) 2009 Award for Innovation for its Combi-CB model.

Managing director Martin McVicar and technical director Robert Moffett picked up the “Archie” award at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on February 14, after beating the seven other finalists in the category.

“The Combi-CB compact multi-directional counterbalance transfers the four-way principle into a small counterbalance truck for the first time,” said the FLTA.

The Combi-CB is the smallest Combilift to date and was developed specifically for operations handling mixed loads comprising mainly palletised goods but which sometimes need to lift long products.
