Dinner means prizes

28 March 2007

Guests at the North East Timber Trade Association's annual dinner in Hull on April 20 may leave with tickets to a Rod Stewart concert or a day's pheasant shooting in Scotland.

These are just some of the prizes that will be on offer during a “silent auction” to raise funds for the Timber Trades' Benevolent Society.

NETTA vice-chairman Peter Hunt said companies throughout the industry had donated prizes including a Manchester United executive package for four, a London theatre weekend, a 12,000ft tandem parachute jump, and golf for four at the Belfy.

Guests will be invited to submit their written bids during the evening.
